Greetings from The Land Of Badgers, Beer, and Cheese. And brats. And snow.

After months (nay, years!) of radio silence, we're finally getting this thing off the ground.

The story so far:

After living in Madison for the past 6 months, we're falling in love: the farmer's market two blocks away, the concerts on the square in the summer, all manner of good beer, and even the snow!

Allie loves her job at the VA and has a great group of co-residents who have also become good friends.   She's discovering the many perks of working for the federal government (hellooooo, Columbus Day vacation!) and really enjoys working with the veterans.

John still likes working from home and the pantslessness it entails.  He's adopted the coffee shop down the street as his own and commutes there regularly (especially on double-punch Tuesdays), despite the inconvenience of having to bathe and clothe himself.

After some initial skepticism, the cats verified that their auto-feeder was still present and operational, water was still dispensed regularly, and they could still yell at and jump on John during video conference calls.  They've since signed off on the move and are settling in nicely.
